As a main priority for DLGA Wynyard we consider the development of new talent to the game integral to us. We have an excellent co operation with The Durham County Golf Union and aspire to develop the best new players to the game starting from the grass roots level throughout.

With the development of the very first junior training programme and workbook we have seen 19 young boys and 2 girls spend extensive time with us here at the academy to develop their all round skills in 2007 and 2008. Well into it's second year the bursary scheme is developing a welath of upcoming talent.  Through Durham County Golf Union the scheme is an initiative that is unparalleled in the UK.

The development of young players is critical and follows many different areas. Physical literacy, knowledge and education in all departments, fitness, golf conditioning, technique and desire are key areas for all young players to be guided through.

With our vast experience in instruction we have the programme in place to offer any young and able student the best possible training environment.
